During Stephen's First Communion Mass, Father Tilp had each child stand up on the pew, face the congregation, introduce themselves and then say one thing they knew about Jesus. I whispered to Stephen asking him what he would say. He whispered back that he would say that Jesus was born on Christmas Day.
I thought we were safe.
When it was Stephen's turn, he stood on the pew, took the microphone, and faced the packed church. He said," My name is Stephen Schnoebelen." Father then asked him to say one thing he knew about Jesus.
Stephen said, "Jesus was born on Christmas Day...or night...I don't know!"
The whole church laughed.
Why did I think we were safe?
